Thursday, May 19, during our second meeting in May, we hosted the International Director Gudrun Yngvadottir.
After participating at the District Convention in Pinerolo, where she was a guest of the Governor and an appreciated speaker, Gudrun spent her last night in Italy with us, accompanied by the Governor and her husband PID Jon Bjarni Thorsteinsson. She then left Savona on Friday to continue her European tour.
It was an opportunity for all of us to come into contact with a new Lions reality, which is both important and high quality.
All the participants, among whom there were many members of Lions Club Savona Priamar, were mostly impressed by her human qualities. Gudrun “mingled” among us as if she was at home with her family: the great Lions Family.
Being an excellent trainer and leader, Gudrun was able to create a very special feeling immediately: talking about important concepts of Lionism and sharing some of her personal experiences alternately.
Exchange of gifts and awards concluded the meeting. It was a goodbye, but definitely not the last goodbye.
